Who we are

TW Freight Solutions Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: info@tw-freight.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit a transport booking or general freight enquiry form we collect: your name, company (optional), email address, phone number, the details of your request (vehicles, dates, postcodes, load information, notes) and the price estimate shown to you. We also store a one-way hashed version of your IP address for spam prevention.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your request, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, provide the service (taking steps at your request before entering a contract).
  • To protect the website against spam and abuse (our legitimate interests).
  • To keep records of enquiries and bookings (legal and accounting obligations, and our legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers to run the website and to alert our team about new requests: our web hosting provider (Hostinger), an email provider, Twilio (to deliver WhatsApp and SMS alerts to our staff, which include your name, phone number and request summary), and postcodes.io (which receives collection and delivery postcodes, but no personal details, to calculate distances).

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for no longer than necessary, normally up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless we need to keep them longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Cookies

This website uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie to keep forms secure (to prevent cross-site request forgery). It does not track you and is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, forms are protected against forgery and spam, and access to our booking system is restricted to authorised staff using strong passwords.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our use of it, and request a copy of it. To exercise these rights, email info@tw-freight.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
